This past week we traveled to the high mountains of Cajamarca, Peru — our first training in this region — and we are excited to report that over 50 leaders attended. Pastor Dan and I taught the course, hosted by Iglesia Monte Sion. These leaders came hungry for the Word of God. Some even traveling over 7 hours by mountainous roads. Praise God!
Course 1 of the BTCP training is "Bible Study Methods and Interpretation." The leaders were introduced to an interactive format built on group participation and a good deal of homework. They were so focused that sessions often ran long, and their hearts stayed wide open throughout. At the end of the training, they all received a certificate of completion for course 1 and were were elated to hear that we are returning at the beginning of the year for Course 2, which is Old Testament Survey.
Please continue to pray for all of the leaders who have attended these trainings — that they would continue to grow in knowledge, understanding, and discernment. We are also grateful to Pastor Monte Sion's congregation for opening their doors and caring for our students all three days.
On August 17th we continue training the leaders of the Amazonas tri-border region. Please pray for each of them and their families they will be leaving behind as they travel to the training center with hopeful expectation that God will continue the amazing impact He has had in their lives.
Thank you all for your prayer and support! God is swiftly moving and mobilizing His people. May our hearts and eyes be opened so that we may always see where He is moving and join Him there.
